Description
We’ll learn about papers, paints, color-mixing, and setting up a palette, Wet on wet, wet on dry and experimental techniques with watercolor. Emphasis will be on nature and the process, rather than outcome. Prepare to have fun!
Supply List:
Tube paints are preferred. Five colors are fine:
red, yellow, olive green, blue, black
No white is needed.
Brands: Winsor & Newton, Holbein, Cheap Joes, etc
Good watercolor paper, such as Arches Cold Press, 140# is the recommended. You do not need a pad- a large sheet is fine and will be cut up to smaller sizes.
Palette or tray for mixing
Brushes—Large flat 1 inch and 1.5 inch – 2 inch flat, cheap paint brush; and medium round brush
Other supplies
Paper towels
Water bowl
Sponges (optional) for texture, etc.
