Description
This is a wonderfully versatile medium and very transportable with minimum expense of materials. We will be using the wax based colored pencils, not the watercolor pencils. This class will give you basic knowledge of color mixing, ways of applying, blending and burnishing while finishing several pieces practicing the various techniques.
Supply List:
• You will need a 2B or HB regular graphite pencil
• Eraser and an eraser stick pencil (similar to old fashioned typewriter eraser pencil with a brush at the end) available at Sarasota Art and Frame or Amazon.
• We are using the wax based colored pencils. We are not using the watercolor type pencils. Prismacolor is a good brand and not too expensive. I suggest you buy a small set which gives you a good variety of colors. You can always buy additional individual colored pencils if needed. I suggest not buying student or cheaper colored pencils they just dont work as well.
• Blender pencil: is a pencil just made of the waxy substance containing no pigment used
