Description
Some watercolor experience preferred in this fun class painting loose watercolor flowers nestled within a glass vase. Techniques for painting glass will be explored as well as loose and experimental flowers in watercolor.
Supply List:
Quality watercolor paper 140lb. –small pad or 1 or 2 sheets (we will be cutting it up) Arches Cold Press or Fabriano paper is good
Several tubes of your favorite colors-( professional, rather than student
grade will bring better results.) Brands: Winsor & Newton, Holbein, Cheap Joes, Daniel Smith, etc.
Brushes—Large flat 1 inch and 1.5 inch – 2 inch flat, cheap paint brush; and medium round brush
Other supplies
Ceramic plate or palette
Paper towels
Water bowl
Sponges (optional) for texture, etc.
optional- Backing board
We will not be stretching the paper but will learn techniques to flatten. We will be working somewhat small, so stretching is not needed.
Note: Beginners will want to bring a minimum of red, yellow, green and blue, maybe black– we will be mixing colors
