This is a fun class! Unleash your creative juices and experiment with many different water-soluble mediums. No previous experience required! Get loose! We will cover various techniques for intuitive mark making, choosing color palettes, different methods of applying paint, collage, and various non-conventional tools to create pleasing compositions. We will work with acrylics, water color, inks, pens, markers and will be introduced to many other new and exciting mediums that you are welcome to try before purchasing for yourself.

Supply List:
For playing with intuitive abstract painting you will need:
• Any and all types of acrylic and water soluble paint, watercolors, watercolor inks, (no alcohol inks), fluid acrylics, such as Americana Deco Art acrylic paints (Michael’s has a great selection for about $1.50 per 2 oz. container), acrylic paint in tubes
• Variety of marking pens, pencils, acrylic markers, conte crayons, watercolor pencils, graphite pencils etc.
• Variety of large and small brushes
• Palette knives, rubber or silicone scrapers, old credit cards for spreading paint around
• Acrylic Matte gel medium • Smallish pad of sturdy watercolor paper 140 lb. cold press. I like using 8X8” (but doesn’t need to be square.) I use Grumbacher pads of 30 sheets from Amazon.
• You will need a hard board or surface to tape your paper onto. It could be smooth wood or some heavy foam core aprox 24”x24”
• Painters tape (blue or green) or masking tape
• Water container
• Paper towels other fun supplies will be introduced
