Understand principles and elements of design and composition by studying artworks drawn from various
world traditions and learn to apply these to your own work. Bring examples of your pieces in any medium for analysis/discussion. A supportive environment for
developing a critical eye and understanding what makes your art “work.”
Bring to first class:
–notebook and pen for notes
–a fully charged smart phone
–an attitude of curiosity
(For the second class, you are invited to bring examples of your own work—the actual pieces are preferred, but images are OK.)
