Includes photo collage, “painting with paper,” creating textural papers, incorporating mixed media, working with fabric and stitched elements. Class #1: COLLAGE ADVENTURE
Bring to first class:
–notebook and pen
–scissors (ideally small enough to cut small images)
–glue sticks (bring 3 if possible since they dry out)
–heavy paper (eg watercolor or mixed media paper, any size you have
–several pieces of cardboard or stretched canvas frame for backgrounds, about 8 x 11 but any relatively small size will do.
–blue painter’s tape—to hold your work down; can be lifted off without tearing
–gel (acrylic) medium (matte preferred, ModPodge is OK) and brush to apply
–set of markers if you have them
–interesting textured papers if you have them—can even be printed napkins
–exacto blade/craft knife and cutting mat if you have them
Instructor will supply a great variety of printed images for your use. A materials fee of $4.00 will be added to your class fee to cover this.
