For many years during Drew’s 43 year teaching career, he shared
his love of puppetry with his students. They would perform student scripted plays for other classes. He developed an inexpensive design for marionettes and hand puppets and helped each child make one. Drew was a self taught puppet maker until 2006, when I took a two week wood marionette carving class. Afterwards he joined the
Puppeteers of America and attended numerous regional and national puppetry conventions where he took many workshops on puppet building- from kid sized puppets up to twelve foot tall festival puppets.
