Description
Two contemporary batik techniques: one on black, one on white. Use tissue and additional textures, with mark-making tools, various wax resists, layering with bleach and inks to create unusual textured outcomes. Includes discussion of examples, demonstration of techniques and the opportunity to create two art pieces. All materials and equipment provided by the instructor for a fee of $25, due at the first class.
