Description
This course is broken into two sections:
The first day you will study plum blossoms This is the fourth subject to learn for every beginner after chrysanthemum, orchid and bamboo. After these four subjects, you can paint almost everything that you want to paint. We call these four subjects, “Four Gentlemen”. These four are symbol of gentlemen because they may bend with wind, the storm and rain, but they never break, and they always come back when the season comes. They are true gentlemen of courage and endurance. The second day will focus on vegetables This is a very popular subject for Sumi-e and we are
very familiar from our everyday life. Sometimes they are accompanied with a dish, basket, and even insects.
