#701 It’s Only Paper – Beginner & Intermediate Watercolor

All skill levels. Class is designed to help you develop and fine tune your skills so you can produce the work you want. Subject matter is your choice. You will learn basic skills and techniques. While you learn the basics and start applying them, you will be working on a subject you choose. Basic color and composition theories are discussed. Demonstrations of techniques and critiques of works will be given in each class.

#702 Watercolor Mini-Session: Beginning Techniques

This two-day mini-session is for those who have little or no experience in the marvelous medium of watercolor. It will introduce brush handling, color theory, composition, and many techniques to get a happy start. Demonstration and guidance will be given. This mini-session will encourage you to pursue more artistic development.

#705 Watercolor Techniques for Sea and Landscapes

Each class will focus on a combination of techniques for creating the elements of sea and landscapes. We will practice these techniques with demonstrations in class. You will be assigned a painting using these techniques to be done at home. The following week we will critique the work at the beginning of the next class. Questions will be answered. This will help you become your own person in your painting.

Students will learn how to use design and composition to develop a painting, mix colors and control water. Additionally, they will learn how to best use the camera and how to use photos to form an attractive composition. This class is ideal for those who have always wanted to learn to paint with watercolors.

Ideally the participants would have taken a beginners class and would have a comprehensive understanding of the medium. In this class the emphasis will be on technique development through conventional and unconventional forms of painting. Participants will learn to paint with combinations of loose watery and crisp controlled strokes. As the name of the class implies, the key word is …FUN while learning.

#708 Let’s Paint the Town in Watercolor

In the morning the instructor will do a demo and in the afternoon the participants will paint either the same location of the demo, or part of the general area. All levels are welcome.

#709 Watercolor on the Wild Side

Participants must provide email address at the time of registration as there will be information given on materials, logistics, location etc. In this two day mini-session, the participants will learn the principals of wildlife painting. Emphasis will be on creating settings to showcase the animal using various photographs of natural scenes as well as photos of animals in different positions. The theme for the first day will be “all things feathers”. The second day “claws and paws”. Those signing up for this minisession will receive an email with specific instructions of what they need to supply for the session.

Demonstrations in all media, but transparent watercolor will be the focus.
